VoiceXML
VoiceXML is a standardized language used to describe scenarios for automated dialog between human and computer. The language makes it possible to describe the information that need to be obtained from the user and also communication scenarios defining how to get this information. To create these scenarios the following basic operations can be used:
- processing of spoken user input using speech recognition
- processing of user input entered through the phone buttons (DTMF)
- recording of spoken input
- playing audio recordings to the user
- playing messages created from a text by the speech synthesis (text-to-speech)
The strength of VoiceXML is the possibility of conducting a dialog with the user and adapting the communication strategy to the current situation.
OptimTalk Voice Browser is 100% VoiceXML 2.0 and VoiceXML 2.1 compliant.
