CCXML

CCXML (Call Control XML) is a standardized language used to describe scenarios for an automatic control of telephone lines. The language can be used for example to:

  • describe the rules for when and how to establish outgoing calls
  • describe the rules for how to handle incoming calls (e. g. accept/reject)
  • describe the rules for redirecting calls to another destination (e. g. to an operator)
  • describe the rules for joining calls to conferences
  • play audio to the telephone line (automation of playing various messages)
  • connect communication line to an automated dialog system that communicates with the user and is able to collect the necessary information from him/her. VoiceXML was designed for description of the automated interaction between human and machine.

OptimTalk Voice Browser is 100% CCXML 1.0 CR compliant.
